'Kabir Singh' Shahid Kapoor Cried 4 Times After Watching THIS

Kabir Singh got the actor Shahid Kapoor back in his A game. The star will now soon be seen in yet another South remake, Jersey. He will be helming the Hindi version of the hit Telugu movie. The actor revealed that he cried 4 times, as the character he is essaying made a tug at his heartstrings

Kabir Singh got versatile actor Shahid Kapoor back in his A game; with a staggering amount of 300 crore at the box office. This Bollywood remake of Arjun Reddy, made the actor worthy of yet another Bollywood remake of a Telugu hit movie, Jersey. However, with the fear of getting typecast of only starring in remakes, the actor was hesitant to sign on the dotted lines, but revealed of being cried for four times, after he watched the original movie.    

In conversation with a news agency, IANS, the Kabir Singh actor revealed of relating to the character on the personal level. While the movie captures the journey of a man who quits cricket at the age of 36 and plans to return which causes massive turbulence in his life. Followed by it he mentioned how the movie advocates of feeling satisfied with the work you do. He also revealed of crying for four times after watching Jersey. Playing a character which is poles apart from Kabir Singh, in Jersey he will be seen as an introvert and quiet person.

He said, “Deep down, I feel you should do things you love or feel connected to, whether you get success or not. You should feel satisfaction in heart while doing what you do. That's the message of this film. Actually, I cried four times when I saw the film. This character is not like Kabir Singh at all. He is very quiet and introverted in nature. Relating this onscreen character’s phase to his Bollywood career the 38 year old actor mentioned of struggling  in his life when he couldn’t deliver a hit film, leading to massive retrospection in his life. The Jersey actor further mentioned about how one should take up things they are fond, irrespective of facing success or failure. 

He further said, "Personally, I could relate with this story because, too, am 38 years old. Sometimes, I also used to feel that I am not delivering a blockbuster film, so what should I do? Should I try something else? There is a time in everyone's life when we wonder why we are not doing well in life. Then you do something else, or make some kind of compromise."


The actor has also shared a video of him practicing for his role of cricketer. Meanwhile, his Jersey also got compared to Kabir Khan’s ’83. Providing a justification on it, he had said, how the Jersey captures an individual’s journey and ’83 speaks about an event in the cricket world.
